Guatemala is a country rich in Mayan heritage, stunning landscapes, and world-famous coffee + chocolate. Nestled between the towering volcanic peaks around Lake Atitlán, this retreat offers an escape from the ordinary. Formed 84,000 years ago by a volcanic eruption, Lake Atitlán is a natural wonder where water, earth, and fire converge. Its serene atmosphere, lush greenery, and nearby indigenous villages provide the perfect setting for relaxation and reflection.

Imagine waking up to the shimmering waters of Lake Atitlán, each day beginning with a stunning sunrise over the volcanoes and ending with a breathtaking sunset. We’ll stay at a peaceful eco retreat near hillside towns, known for its spiritual vibe. You’ll participate in sacred Mayan rituals, connect with nature and local villages, explore colorful markets filled with artisan crafts, and ground yourself with daily yoga and meditation. Take a look at the full itinerary below; we’d be thrilled to have you join us!

Why join us?

Guatemala has piqued our curiosity for years. After a great deal of research, we took a scouting trip there in early 2024. We fell in love with the combination of vibrant culture + epic natural scenery of Lake Atitlán, and instantly knew we wanted to share the experience with a group.

One of our main goals in offering this retreat is to create space for you to immerse into your practice, while also exploring in the richness of the Mayan culture. Travel creates the opportunity to shift perspectives and open your heart. We all need (and deserve!) time to retreat and connect.

Enjoy the ease of having all the details arranged for you, be accompanied by not only us, but some amazing local guides, and have fun traveling with a like-minded group. All you really have to do is say yes and book your airfare!

Activities + Yoga

We will practice daily yoga and meditation (suitable for all levels) to ground, connect, and integrate the experiences you have in Guatemala. Yoga classes will be held amongst unique + stunning practice spaces, including an open-air shala where we can enjoy the views of the lake + volcanoes and sounds of nature. Yoga mats + props are included.

Our days will balance relaxation and adventure. Unwind with a peaceful nap in a hammock, take a mindful stroll through lush gardens, relax by the pool, or enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake - just steps from our property. But we’ll also embrace exploration, venturing into nearby Guatemalan villages steeped in Mayan traditions, where we’ll immerse ourselves in the local culture.

Our Property + Food

OUR PROPERTY:

We’ll stay at an eco-retreat center perched on the edge of the pristine lake, accessible only by boat. The property emphasizes sustainability, helping to honor the surrounding natural environment. This secluded destination features a pool, a wellness center, beautiful gardens, and plenty of spaces that are perfect for relaxation and reflection. Immerse yourself in the peace and tranquillity of this stunning location!

FOOD:

We will enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in fellowship as a group each day, seasoning our food with laughter, connection, and stories from our adventures. Meals will take place in an al fresco dining area, where the sweet scent of flowers drifts on a gentle breeze and we can savor breathtaking views over the shimmering water. Each day, we’ll be served three abundant vegetarian meals (including dairy + eggs), crafted from simple, fresh ingredients. Chicken or fish can be ordered at an extra cost and vegan/gluten free/dairy free needs can be accommodated.

ACCESSIBILITY

With the hillside location of our property, the retreat center is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven terrain. If you are challenged with stairs, we recommend staying in one of the rooms on the main level of the property. This is where the dining room + main practice spaces are located. If you have any questions/concerns for your stay, please email us so that we can assist.
